Clwyd West Assembly Member Darren Millar will be holding a public meeting in Llanarmon-yn-Iâl next week to discuss problems with access to high speed broadband in the area.
Darren has been contacted by dozens of residents and local businesses regarding the rollout of high speed broadband and the lack of progress by BT/Openreach in the locality.
BT/Openreach will be attending the meeting, which will take place on Monday (March 20th) at 10.30am in the Old Schoolroom in Llanarmon-yn-Iâl, to provide an update on the rollout in the area and to answer questions from local residents.
“Dates for installation and access have been set in the past but these have keep being delayed without explanation leaving householders and firms in the area frustrated. This meeting will give residents the opportunity to air their grievances.
“The Welsh Government Minister for Skills and Science was also supposed to be attending and I am disappointed that she recently pulled out without explanation.
“The meeting will also provide an opportunity to residents in Eryrys to raise concerns about ongoing problems with their telephone services.”
Denbighshire County Councillor for the area, Cllr Martyn Holland, said:
“After months of delays and changes to the Superfast roll out deadlines, I am pleased that BT have agreed to attend this public meeting so that we can try and clarify when each area/ village in the ward will be getting this service.
“It is extremely frustrating for residents and businesses and needs sorting without further delay.”
