Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has criticised Welsh Government plans to introduce a smacking ban in Wales.

The Welsh Government yesterday announced a 12 week public consultation on how it should remove the defence of reasonable punishment.

New funding to protect post offices welcomed

Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has welcomed today’s announcement by the Conservative UK Government of 370 million to secure the future of the UK’s Post Office network.

The funding will enable Post Offices to extend opening hours, cut queue times and protect rural branches.

AM welcomes transport plans for North Wales

Clwyd West Assembly Member Darren Millar has welcomed transport plans announced by the Welsh Government today which will see Abergele become a Transport Hub and the rail link between North Wales and Liverpool restored.

Tourism Tax fears voiced during Welsh Mountain Zoo visit

Clwyd West AM Darren Millar visited the Welsh Mountain Zoo in Colwyn Bay on Friday to hear more about their future plans.

While there, Darren met with the Nick Jackson, the Zoo’s Chief Executive and had the opportunity to feed Ghengis the Bacterian camel.
